What is Deliveroo?

Deliveroo is a British company founded in London in 2013, operating in around 800 towns and cities across markets including the UK, France, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, the UAE, and Kuwait, and in 2025 it became part of the US DoorDash group. In the UAE it launched in November 2015, and its registered office is in the DMCC Business Centre in Dubai.

The app brings together well-known and local restaurants, grocery orders from partner stores, and Deliveroo Hop, grocery stores run by Deliveroo itself. A handy feature: after a restaurant order you can add a grocery order from a nearby Hop store with no service fee if you complete it before the on-screen timer runs out. You can also schedule orders up to 24 hours ahead or collect yourself via the Pickup tab.

Deliveroo Plus is the real saver for frequent orderers: Plus Gold costs AED 19 a month for some accounts or AED 29 a month and AED 290 a year for others, annual plans are offered to selected customers, and your account may be shown a free trial before paying. It gives free delivery on restaurant orders over AED 30 and grocery or retail orders over AED 50, 10% credit back on eligible orders over AED 80, and AED 20 credit if an order is more than 15 minutes late. Plus Silver comes through partner programmes such as Amazon Prime.

Deliveroo offers on Koubonat work through the direct link: open the site or app and the restaurant offers in your area appear, from discounts and meal deals to free items and buy-one-get-one-free, plus any first-order offer available to your account. If Deliveroo sends you an official code, add it in the app under Account, then Vouchers and Credit, then Add code, or via Add Promo Code on the website checkout. Service fees and small-order fees may still apply even with Plus, so check the summary before paying.

Popular Deliveroo products with a tip for each

• Restaurants: From burger and pizza chains to upscale and local spots; check the offers tab in the app because discounts vary by restaurant and area.
• Deliveroo Hop: Deliveroo's own grocery stores for quick orders; add a Hop order after a restaurant order within the time window to skip the service fee.
• Groceries and partner shops: Supermarkets, pharmacies, and partner stores; for weighed items you get the difference back if less weight is delivered.
• Plus Gold: Free delivery over AED 30 at restaurants and AED 50 for groceries, with 10% credit back on eligible orders over AED 80 and 24/7 Premium Care.
• Scheduled orders: Order up to 24 hours ahead from selected restaurants; handy for gatherings and Ramadan iftar.
• Pickup: The Pickup tab shows restaurants that allow collection, so you avoid delivery fees entirely.

Deliveroo delivery and fees

• In the UAE Deliveroo covers Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, North Sharjah, Al Ain, and Ajman, and available restaurants show once you enter your address.
• Free delivery comes with Deliveroo Plus: Plus Gold at AED 19 or 29 a month depending on the account gives free delivery on restaurant orders over AED 30 and grocery or retail orders over AED 50, while service fees and small-order fees may still apply.
• Delivery fees vary by restaurant and distance, and the service fee is calculated on the order value before discounts with a minimum and maximum, all shown at checkout.
• If an order is below the restaurant's minimum a small-order fee is added, so build your basket past the threshold.
• On-Time Promise for eligible Plus Gold members: AED 20 credit if an order arrives more than 15 minutes after the top estimate on the tracker.

Deliveroo payment options

The deal price shows in the cart before you choose how to pay. Options at Deliveroo:

• Credit and debit cards
• Cash on delivery when the restaurant accepts it and the option shows at checkout
• Apple Pay depending on your device and what shows at checkout
• Deliveroo account credit and vouchers
• Rider tips in the app or in cash, with riders receiving 100%

Deliveroo refunds and complaints policy

If an order arrives incomplete, wrong, or below standard, the fastest route is Order History, then the order, then Order Help, and for grocery quality issues or near best-before dates you request a refund or credit within 48 hours of ordering. For weighed items the difference goes back to the same payment method if less weight arrives. A Plus subscription can be fully refunded within the first 14 days of the paid period, after which there is no change-of-mind refund, and late-delivery credit must be claimed within 30 days and used within 3 months.

How to use the Deliveroo deal step by step

1. Tap the deal button to open Deliveroo UAE, or download the app and sign in.
2. Enter your address precisely so the restaurants and stores delivering to your area appear.
3. Open the offers tab and compare restaurant discounts and delivery fees.
4. If you order more than twice a week, activate Plus Gold before ordering so delivery is free.
5. Get past the minimum order to avoid the small-order fee, and check the service fee in the summary.
6. Pay by card or cash on delivery, and track the rider on the map until arrival.

Deliveroo by city: coverage and fees

Deliveroo is a delivery app, and coverage and fees depend on your area. Here is what matters by region:

Deliveroo deals in the UAE

In the UAE Deliveroo covers Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, North Sharjah, Al Ain, and Ajman, prices are in dirhams, and Plus Gold starts from AED 19 a month depending on the account.

Deliveroo deals in Kuwait

Deliveroo also runs in Kuwait with a separate site and prices, where Plus Gold is KD 3.5 a month, but the link on this page is for the UAE campaign.

Deliveroo deals in the Gulf & Middle East

Deliveroo in the Gulf runs in the UAE and Kuwait only according to its FAQ page, while Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Egypt are not among its current markets.

Deliveroo deals in the United Kingdom

If you have a Deliveroo account from the UK, a Plus subscription is mainly for use in the country where the account was created, so activate the UAE Plus when living in the UAE.

Best sale seasons at Deliveroo

• Ramadan — iftar and suhoor with restaurant offers and scheduled orders
• White Friday (November 2026) — in-app offers from participating restaurants
• Annual Plus Gold plan — AED 290, roughly 12 months for the price of 10, shown to selected customers only
• Weekends and big matches — sharing-meal offers from restaurants

Offers change faster than usual in these seasons; reopen the Deliveroo page on Koubonat before ordering because the cards are refreshed first.

Why is the Deliveroo deal price not showing?

• The order is below the Plus free-delivery minimum (AED 30 for restaurants and AED 50 for groceries)
• The restaurant is not part of the offer or the offer is for first orders only
• Your delivery address is outside the restaurant's range, so the offer disappeared
• The service fee still shows because Plus does not remove it on most orders
• Plus was not activated before you placed the order
• You added a free Plus voucher but did not finish joining under Account, then Deliveroo Plus
• You tried to spend credit back on the same order that earns it, which is not possible

Fix: identify the reason above, then reopen the deal from the Koubonat button in the same browser. If the total does not move, the offer does not cover your current basket.

Deliveroo deal via Koubonat or buying direct?

If you order once or twice a month, plain ordering plus restaurant offers or pickup is best. If you order weekly, do the maths: delivery fees on two or three orders often exceed AED 29, so Plus Gold pays for itself quickly, and the annual plan at the price of 10 months is better value if you stay all year. Amazon Prime members should first check the free Plus Silver before paying for any subscription.
